Black Dog has assisted many clients with their showroom space at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, as well as their individual showrooms across the Country. We can manage construction updates, logistics, show services, openings and client parties.

Kelly Jansens Mensch
Kelly Jansens Mensch is a dynamic entrepreneur and the founder of Black Dog Productions LLC, a special events and trade show company established in 2008. With over 20 years of experience in project management, she has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results in trade shows, showrooms, and special events. Her expertise spans budgeting, planning, marketing, vendor coordination, design, fabrication, catering, and logistics—ensuring a seamless, turn-key experience for clients of all sizes.
Kelly is also the owner and operator of KJ-Fitt LLC, where she shares her passion for fitness and health as a certified trainer and nutritional coach. A lifelong fitness enthusiast, she incorporates her self-defense training into her programs, empowering others to live their best lives.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Kelly is the visionary behind “She Shines – Women’s Day Out Conference”, a transformative event designed to empower, uplift, and recharge women in her community.
Kelly is also the author of her debut book, Outside of God’s Umbrella, a deeply personal testimony that chronicles a journey of faith, resilience, and redemption. Her mission as a writer is to inspire and encourage others to find light even in their darkest moments.
A West Michigan native, Kelly is passionate about giving back. She actively supports local animal shelters and initiatives like C-Snip, the Bissell BlockTail Party, LaughFest People & Pets, and Gilda’s Club -World’s Largest Dog Wash.
Black Dog Productions was named after her rescue dog, a Black Labrador Retriever named, "Bodie."

Bodie was adopted from an animal control center in West Michigan. Kelly was told he was picked up on the run and brought to the control center. They simply did not have room for him...he would be discarded.
Bodie became the center of Kelly's universe for close to 10 years. He lived a wonderful life and was loved deeply. Sadly, in 2017 Kelly had to say goodbye to Bodie. Black Dog Productions lives on in honor of the best dog ever!
